This program provides an opportunity to meet the experts and discuss the state of the art as it relates to the clinical management of hypertension.

SYPOSIUM OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
• Apply recommendations of the JNC 7 in making treatment decisions
• Explain results of recent hypertension treatment trials
• Determine the appropriate diagnostic evaluation for hypertensive patients
• Manage diabetic hypertensive patients and patients with the metabolic syndrome
• Evaluate and treat hypertension emergencies
• Prescribe multiple drug therapy appropriately

The American Society of Hypertension, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
