This program provides an opportunity to meet the experts and discuss evidence-based medicine as it relates to the clinical diagnosis, treatment, and management of hypertension.

SYPOSIUM OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
• Apply recommendations of the JNC 7 in making treatment decisions
• Explain results of recent hypertension treatment trials
• Manage elderly and diabetic hypertensive patients
• Recognize the value of combination medical therapy in hypertensive patients
• Critically evaluate some of the controversial issues regarding the management of hypertension

The American Society of Hypertension, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education to physicians.
